Game Freak has no fucking clue how to balance their game and they paywall busted shillmons with DLCs and events like Urshifu. So they don't give a shit about a fair balanced game.
Shit like +1 evasion can 6-0'd you because there's the real chance of missing enough attacks for the opponent to win, completely at random.
Busted shit like Last respects or Rage Fist can reach 300+ power, which is more than Explosion WITH STAB.
Pokemon like Palafin, G-Damanitan and Chien Pao have like built in Choice Bands.
Sleep can randomly miss or put you to sleep 3 whole turns.
The point of Smogon is that good team building and good play you can make you reach consistent results. You can't have that with randomness, shit with no defensive counterplay or getting lucky.
To be honest Smogon should ban as well cheap shit like thunder wave/paralysis, Ivy Cudgel and Regenerator.
