Bulbapedia's layout fucking sucks but at least navigating is easy
Serebii's layout is much better but navigating it is a fucking nightmare if you're looking through multiple pages.
smogon is the best balance between layout and navigation ease but it doesn't have as much information for obvious reasons.

If I wasn't at work I'd post the Vigoroth Visigoth one. There is no quality control for lots of things, there was also a page that had a good chunk removed relatively recently, as in these past few months, but I can't remember what it was, only that it was some pretty obscure and unsourced thing on a side game or anime media. But their image archives are nice. I hope they add more overworld model maps for the 3d games.

Besides pic related, liam's kiwi farms thread has the rest of the screenshots. "Mozz's Van" was a hidden porn forum with allegations of grooming the underaged mods into posting nudes. But even if that isn't true, just the fact that they used van in the title when there's a creeper stigma attached to it, even more so from back then is pretty telling. Judging from the leaked screenshots talking about it, the only reason they changed anything was because they didn't wanna get in trouble.

It's honestly highly suspicious. We'll never be able to say for sure what went on for obvious reasons, but with things like "Bulbapedia Confessions" and liam saying "that age limits for sex are stupid because Japan doesn't have them", "age is only a number" and so on doesn't help their case. But you can tell that the corporate network HAVA media, who owns the site, wants all of this bad history associated with it deleted from the net. Judging off of worth of web, bulba makes 8 and a half million every year for them which is easy money since it's built on free autism of a community of wiki slaves.

Bulbapedia has always been the best because it's extensive, exhaustive, easy to read, and even has lore written in. Its imperfections are the shift to the mobile/web2.0 layout with the stupid ever-present top toolbar and the removal of the wikipedia side-section, and how it doesn't go enough in depth with the rationale behind every pokemon related thing's design inspirations.

Bulbapedia's ad provider is Curse, which is also owned by Fandom which they also use for their own wikis. So the differences between Bulbapedia and Fandom are not that different, besides which greedy, filthy rich corporation owns it. I still don't understand why bulbapedia is still part of NIWA when it's just as corporate as Fandom wiki now. Nothing independent about it. But then again, there really isn't another one besides those two.

I hate how they insist on trying to cram details from every game and every adaptation together, I don't want to have to scroll through War and Peace every time I want one specific bit of info and some of the tables are near unreadable. But Serebii's full of misinformation and nothing else comes close except extracting the useful information and using it to autistically piece together your own personalised offline resources as I do.

Don't hate bulbapedia, it's just a different nieche than pokemondb which I find better for help in in-game playthrough because it's more convenient.
