With the ability to write and erase memories as I please, all I'd need to do is get close enough to powerful figures across the world and make them believe that I'm their superior secretly pulling their strings. It would take quite some time, but if I were able to get to enough of the leaders and rewrite their memories, every governing body would be at under my beck and call. The entire world could potentially be under my mercy.
