Meganium's stats are fine, its moveset is the problem, plus it has bad matchups against pretty much all of Johto. But if you're wanting to run dual screens on it then I don't see it being too terrible to use. Its bulk is good enough that it can take a hit pretty well while it sets up screens, and then you can chip away at the opponent. It's comparatively really bad to pretty much all other starters, but that doesn't mean it's unusable. Give it a shot
