Smoochum is worthless in BRT without Forewarn, and Kecleon is really your best choice. I've heard Electrode is good with level 1 Sonicboom.
If you want to powerlevel your treecko, keep hitting up Team Hydro with linked any move+Wide Slash, checking the Kecleon Shop for Joy Seeds every time you finish. The shop refreshes after every "adventure" and that 3 floor trip counts as one. This is how i evolved everything not named Wooper.
