Overall though the graphics aren't the dealbreaker, but rather the fact that gamefreak are struggling so hard to make this sad attempts at graphics they can barely manage to put any content into the game. They're trying to teach people who spent their entire career doing 2D sprite work to work with 3D games because they stubbornly refuse to dig into the giant scrooge McDuck vault of money they have as the most profitable franchise in human history and hire a decent team of new programmers who know what the fuck they're doing. Gamefreak's team should just be snorting cocaine off a hookers ass all day while someone else does their work instead of holding the IP hostage with a bunch of amateurs.
