Pokemon is a series / franchise carried hard by its core concept but cursed with ownership by incompetent developers.
When your nostalgia wears off, you see how this series has been seriously hampered by its being designed for children, on top of GameFreak's just questionable design decisions in general. I don't even think my favorite game is objectively good anymore.
