I have dedicated my life to being an armchair/generalist/liberalarts degree/non-specialized "renaissance man" and you know what? I'm not fucking good at anything. Ever hear of jack-of-all-trades master of none? If I was responsible for eevry aspect of my life, my farm would produce worse food than what I eat now, My house would be less efficient than the one I live in now, and things like gas piping and water/electric I could potentially fuck up so bad itd kill me. And I say this as someone who is probably healthier and smarter than 60% of Americans who would be TOTALLY fucked. Humans are fragile and short-lived, specialization allows us to squeeze a few years of usefulness out of people between decades of being a useless child and decades of being a useless senior. Generalizing is less efficient I think.

Besides, in an anarchist society life is nasty brutish and short. Everyone would spend all their time working for base needs and could never self-actualize or breakthru to new levels of human achievement. Anarchism is regression, not the solution. Even if Ted had a point that computers and tech are nightmare beyond our comprehension, we MUST meet these challenges together. There is no way to close Pandora's box of technology.
