>>51677443>that sounds kinda terrifying for the first Gym.good. also i am pretty sure not knowing the identity of the viridian gym leader pertains more to not knowing who exactly the person is. i don't think giovanni is necessarily a well-known as the leader of team rocket, so his absence at the gym and general mystery around who he is lends itself to the guide not really knowing what to think of him. i don't think it's a logical misstep, but they probably should have removed his name from the statues for the player's sake, though.
