You can't buy everything and make detailed humanized pokemon with button like eyes, sharp edges and patterns like stripes. If you do, it will not resemble pokemon. Once again: people aren't complaining on first gen. They're complaining on newer ones. And taste doesn't have much to say here. You don't need to like fakemon to admit that it looks like pokemon.
