I've met an Arbok who claimed to have fought a Blaziken over his not-so-unguarded nest, won (resisting Fighting comes in handy, I guess), and decided to take the bigger meal. Another Serperior claimed to have just gotten the jump on one and easily defeated them, but considering how tough a fight even a Combusken is, I think that's just a brag... or they caught a human dressed as a Blaziken and didn't bother to look too closely.
Hm, I wonder, if she finds a mate, if her Snivy will brag about how their mom is totally strong enough to beat a fully evolved Fire-type without breaking a sweat. That would be cute.
