What would you call out to protect yourself in a dangerous situation. Say a dangerous pokemon - something you cannot take down in just a few hits is trying to kill you.
No gimmick tactics, you can't use Toxic and stall with protect & substitute, nor can you OHKO with fissure or whatever, think in a looser interpretation of the game mechanics. The enemies primary goal is to kill you, you cannot teleport away, you are forced to fight and only your pokemon stands in their path. Your pokemon will take hits and will have to hit back, hard. Ideally they would be able to follow you indoors, so something huge like Metagross isn't exactly practical. Maybe something like Bisharp, or Garchomp since they are somewhat humanoid and aren't necessarily gigantic? I initially though of Weavile and Mienshao, but they really cannot take hits.
I've been thinking about this for a while and after a dream, I settled on Armaldo as my choice. It hits hard, has decent defenses and Battle Armor adds to its toughness.
