But Serena (or Calem for you, traps), holy crap worst rival ever, she is always with 3 pokemon on her, underleveled compared to your average players party.
But I also hate her personality, it's like she is always "alright, rape my face neighbor since you are so strong".
Lysandre and Flare were assholes, but it's alright, genocide is always cool I guess.
Now Gym leaders, they were all terrible and forgettable, but at least the Elite Four wasn't they were pretty cool. Champion was meh.
Most npcs had better dialogue, and even art than them. Someone did their job in that regard.
They botched the characters, but at least the game is great and the region is better than Unova.
