Gigantamaxing is something that only a few species of Pokémon can achieve, where they take on a unique form, and it requires that they have the necessary trait.
Examples include Pikachu, Eevee, Venusaur, Blastoise, Charizard, Butterfree, Machamp, Gengar, Snorlax, Lapras, Rillaboom, Cinderace, Inteleon.
What this'll probably mean is that there'll be new chase Pokémon and your already existing Pokémon won't be able to gigantamax; go catch a new Charizard instead of having your existing shiny or hundo do it.
