Second time in the northern area you just walk upwards for 5 minutes until you're in the Snow route. Then when it's time to end Galactic's bullshit you really need to put your resources into actually traversing up the mountain and it's a reasonably hard climb which makes sense. You're finally about to scale this huge mountain loomimg over you for the better part of your journey to put down the evil villain. Then you're done with the place unless you want to spelunk around. Most other Sinnoh caves are very minor.
>Cave after JubilifeOptional. 5 minute Surf session for a few items
>Oreburgh GateShort passage with easy battles. Then an optional 1 minute Surf Session for an item later on.
>Oreburgh MinesShouldn't even count. You just walk in and out to tell Roark to stop fucking around and do his job.
>Wayward CaveOptional. Confusing escort mission but you'll get to fight her in the future. Plus the other entrance has one of the best pokemon to raise in the game.
>Solaceon RuinsOptional. Literally every other Unown cave but with a neat reward for catching them all.
>Iron IslandOptional. Great place to train when you reach it. Regi location.
>Stark MountainOptional. Same as the rest of the Resort/Fight/Survival Area. Place full of trainers to grind on and a Galactic subplot. Not very complex plus Heatran waits at the end.
In the grand scheme of your journey in Sinnoh, all the caves are hardly much to cry about. Coronet is supposed to be tedious. Climbing mountains is often a tedious task. I'm actually disappointed the main games haven't gone full on Pokemon Ranger with the Overworld.
