Emerald's Battle Frontier is extremely overrated. The only actually good facilities were the Battle Factory and the Battle Pyramid; the rest of them were Battle Frontier clones where you either got randomly poisoned or just spammed A and let the individual values of your Pokemon do everything.
They could've added some facilities like Battle Castle or Battle Arcade, though.

It may be extra content, but it sure as fuck ain't a positive. They also cut rematches. You used to have a phone, remember? and you definitely had less double battle opportunities.

That said I did love all the other additions. Especially the Secret Base stuff. That shit kept me playing for months, but if they had the Battle Frontier, I'd still be playing now. Like I do with all the other ones...

That fag has been posting that image for years. Other fandoms are no better the Zeldafags have been crying for a LTTP remake in the style of LBW for years now, and since Link's Awakening has been remade there's quite a good number of posts crying out for Oracle remakes. Final Fantasy 7 is the perfect go to example though. Those goddamn FF fags have been bitching about getting a remake since the goddamn PS2 was released.

The Let's Go games seem to be the answer for "How do we remake games with remakes?" Briefly before LGPE was announced in an interview for ORAS Masuda talked about how traditional remakes would continue on as they tend to make a strong profit.

i was hyped for this for the longest time, but as time has passed i've started to realize that if we got remakes of dpp, it would;
1. Either be a higher definition DS game, all houses facing south, no variation in terrain, only birds eye perspective.
Or 2. Just a part of the Let's Go series. And still look the same as stated in no.1

So either way it's gonna be more of a disappointment than a pleasant surprise. And since Sinnoh is my favourite Region, i'd rather just have it as it is, than seeing some shitty attempt to modernize it.

ORAS had more content in form of islands and shit, but for the cost of emeralds battle facilities which made it an absolute disappointment.
at this point it's still a little hard to predict how the games will be, but it seems like they will most certainly be really lacking___

They're going to keep both.
There's going to be a game in 2021 for sure because it's the franchise's 25th anniversary.
That game will probably be Let's Go 2 with Johto and Kanto

If the remakes are happening, expect them next year and they'll be ORAS-style traditional remakes.

The Gamecube games at least added mechanics to the AI of the NPC trainers. Shit was still easy as hell but having beginner doubles strats (earthquake protect teams and the like) made them more intuitive than most pokemon battles in the series.

I think that the quality of games is subjective though. I didn't like ORAS but that's only because I knew how good HGSS were. Younger kids who've never played the older remakes may view the game as being of high quality.

The only way to really give something like a game subjective value is to look at physical qualities like graphics, the speed of the engine, etc. Anything else can ultimate be chalked up to how a player feels when experiencing the game.

BW and B2W2, whether you like it or not had significant effort put behind them. Incredibly quick battle menus, animations, and HP scrolling, a wide variety of new pokemon to use, dark grass allowing for wild double battles and stronger pokemon, two rival characters that use the two leftover starters so you can easily search them all on the GTS, and plenty of postgame across the board. Gen 5 was fucking fantastic and it's thanks to its poor reception from the widely casual pokemon fanbase that we're where we are now.

Its really disapointing they did gen 3 dirty like that. FRLG and HGSS have issues, but they were both generally better, I did miss some of the minor changes to crystal, but battle frontier and following were good. ORAS didnt have anything over emerald really...

Sinnoh is fine. The battle system and EVs/IVs were pretty much perfected. ORAS gets the excuse of adding the physical-special split. A DP remake would add nothing and only spit on Gen 4 as a whole.

No hype possible for remakes, at least as Pokemon does them, even though I love Sinnoh. Sequel or reimagining would be cool, but if it's the same deal as Alpha Sapphire, there's nothing to get excited for, I'll just listen to the new musical arrangements online.

It's horrifying to think about but they know what we want from the remakes and I don't think they'd go so far as to make the D/P remakes part of the Let's Go branch. They're fundamentally different and it wouldnt even be a remake at that point.

If the graphics were made in the same style ass the new Zelda remake i'd be fucking fuming. That game was really good by the way i thoroughly enjoyed it It's just the polar opposite of what i want remakes to be like.

I agree with you but what I mean is that I think we're getting Let's Go as the remakes of 2021. I do agree that we're also getting Gen 9 in that year . I think that's what they'll do to celebrate. Let's Go Johto in maybe the beginning of the year and then Gen 9 at the end of the year.
