Bianca wasn't a rival, she was a friend. And a good one at that, along with Cheren.
Hop isn't a friend, he's a rival. But he's not really a rival because he sucks. He's just pathetic and lonely. So he's basically nothing.
Once I got his trainer card, I immediatly unistalled the game. It had just handed me trash. When Bianca handed me a pokemon in Pokemon White 2 I cried. After years of happy time with Bianca and Cheren in BW, the girl gave me one of the best gifts in my entire life. Hop apologists will never understand the feeling of receiving a worthwhile gift from a special friend.
