>>53710138>>53715880Once Eterna's gym had been bested and his Pokémon thoroughly tested, Percival continued forth. He headed to Galactic HQ to deliver the Houndour and Onix he'd promised Jupiter, then lifted a bike from Rydel's entrance and headed down south.
While riding, the team's disharmony began to poke at Percival's heart. The grunt had long since moved past seeing Pokémon as companions instead of the tools they were, but now he was watching two of his members arguing like his parents right in front of him. It was becoming hard to ignore.
Eventually, once the fighting reached a fever-pitch after the Houndour's donation, Percival felt the need to step in. He chastised his Metang for being so hostile towards his Crobat especially, allowing the Crobat to roost atop him to stay away from the Metang, and allowed his Jolteon to walk beside him instead of behind for similar reasons. It was a miracle that his two new team members weren't as badly-affected as his better ones.
Next up was supposed to be Veilstone City- but Cyrus had given Percival special instructions.
If he beat Hearthome's gym first, he would surely be seen as a fiercer trainer than most. Winning at the hardest gym in the league for his third badge? It'd be a great way to show off his power.
And so, the grunt continued on his journey...
