>>48604545>You're especially undermining how unsuccessful the Yugioh animes have been for the longest time. They just keep making them cause the card game still brings in some money and it's an easy way to advertise it.These statements contradict each other. The shows are still successfully advertising the card game, meaning they're doing exactly as intended. People watch them. There are dedicated fans who tune in and watch every series, just like Pokemon. Only the yugioh fans get new characters and complete stories.
To put it another way, if post-DM yugioh were really as big of a flop as you're trying to imply, Konami wouldn't have scooped up all the staff left from when 4kids went under and continued the dub. The infamous 4kids basically still lives in all but name entirely due to yugioh.
I understand that consistency sells and changing protags can have a really detrimental effect on an audience. Lot of people really didn't like Judai when GX first dropped, myself included, but he grew on people. He grew on me. It's just an adjustment people have to make, and those that can't and drop off from the series would probably drop off after realizing Satoshi's coma dream was never ending anyways.
I dunno, I wanted a better experience from Pokemon fiction. I wanted a complete story for Satoshi, something that would leave me satisfied instead of feeling robbed of my time. And to maybe see some connections deeper than waving goodbye to a character of the week and then never seeing them or thinking about them again. The whole formula got so ungodly tiring.
Least PokeSpe gave me what I want but that always starts shitflinging thanks to animefags.
