Sure, Red with Blockhead Pipi is sillier, and PokeSpe Red gradually lost innocence after dealing with Scumbag Giovanni, but Red's probably the most consistently adapted character out of all game protagonists (I mean, one version of Dawn was a Team Galactic agent out of all people).
