I played through D/P before this and the AI feels the exact same. Like, not even changed at all. The AI doesn't seem to actually prioritize super effective attacks, it just never selects NVE moves. It also loves to randomly spam status moves for absolutely no reason even when it could kill or use a super effective move on my mons. In fact had I not replayed D/P I would have said the AI was a downgrade because the AI did get better in Platinum (and pretty much every game in the series afterwards), but no the D/P AI was just as bad and random.
Where are people getting that the AI got better?
