Reposting from last thread.

I know there's the list here for what Pokemon and everything but it doesn't have what I need.
Is there a spreadsheet or something that lists what level you can catch them at?
For example, even though Gible is found around level 40s or whatever, it can be found at 23 or the Sinnoh starters being found around level 12 despite the higher levels nearby.
115 hours in with 216 Pokemon registered and I realised that I got too wrapped up in making money and grinding things our rather than my preferred method of play, actually RPing with an actual team.
I've since released everything but the few 1s and 0s I've bonded with and my shinies and am planning to grab a new Pokemon from a later area to be my "starter" and work towards a living dex but I can't figure out what I want to use.

Just something neat under say, level 30 would be great if anyone knows of anything off the top of their head.

repostin for what's the actual best way to grind xp past lvl 70? i've heard differing opinions between the roserade in crimson mirelands, the blissey in obsidian fieldlands (higher level but longer travel time), or the normal blissey/chancey spawns in icelands

3. The bonus you get for completing the research tasks, do you think it's significant enough to even bother with?
4. This is my current team, as far as Balance goes I don't understand what they are lacking

That is all for the questions, apparently the professor gives you the other 2 starters in the lab after the first credits if people didn't already know that and the 3 trial pokemon for the fae, Hisuian Zoroark, Overquill and that other one can all be captured if you're willing to do so, they are also NOT shiny locked so if one were to say want to farm them they can do so.

Jolteon is pretty good because the speed gives it a good chance to double turn opponents. Umbreon is not so bad either because it can take some hits.

On that note, I actually wonder what possibilities the Swap Snack opens up for Umbreon. At least theoretically you could tank Special moves, then use the candy and deal massive Special damage yourself.

If something like it ever gets implemented in a future title, it'd be so much fun to mess around with.

Lol I remember when people here told me to just rush through the game and do all of the grinding post game with the "convenient tools" instead of playing my way (had 216 in the pokedex before I even fought avalugg).

Pretty sure the stats are locked in by the time you encounter it. Apparently it can spawn in randomly afterwards so you have another shot, but it's something like a 1.3% chance

With Rhyhorn I threw five rotten apricorns at it and filled up the entry. But it isn't working for Golduck. The stun doesn't trigger with a rotten apricorn or ball of mud even if I'm sneaking up on them.
What do I need to use?

I've been at it for about five-six hours of actually working on it and all I've gotten is an Alpha Duskull.
I don't even want to evolve it or I would have settled for one of the dozens of Dusclops I've already found.

Its feeling like it's not even possible to get an outbreak.
Maybe this is my payback for getting two shiny Cascoon in one outbreak with an alpha Pichu AND an alpha Beautiful within walking distance.
I wasn't even hunting those, nor the dozens of Bonsly, Cranidos and Shieldon I've found without even trying.

The definitive Nuzlocke judge for "is this a new area?" is checking the Pokémon's catch location on the status screen.
If you want to give yourself some ability to choose while still preserving some challenge, make it so that you have to catch the first Pokémon that spots you (and try to catch the one you want in the meantime). And of course if you try to catch something and it gets away, you lose the encounter.

You're gonna get ganged up on and you just have to deal with it
The good news is if you're fighting more than one Pokémon the others will sometimes skip their turn ("X is looking around") and when it happens in Trainer battles the extra Pokémon are usually much lower level

and to clarify you MUST go back to the village every time when reloading the game and follow up with a new save at camp. that's how the shiny chance is rerolled. if you don't and think you can just simply reload the game, you'll get the exact same 12 pokemon every time from the outbreak.

Either would be fine, do you want a decent wall against all attacks or a better wall against special attacks? This is a game that generally punishes defensive play so it probably won't really matter since Umbreon lacks the bulk to make use of its defenses. I'd go for Bold and make it a Calm Mind setup sweeper. If you want an actual wall there are better choices like Blissey.

It's random. The idea that playing "normally" increases their odds of showing up is sounding more and more like bullshit. There's obviously some kind of timer that determines when they spawn but I haven't seen anything on the actual math behind how it works.

I just had one there. I did a ton of research tasks on Mount Coronet, handed them in all at once, went back to the village and it crashed on the loading screen when I was going to Alabaster. Then I reloaded, which thankfully saved at Jubilife immediately before, tried going to Alabaster again and it crashed again. Next time I went in and out of my house, and tried going to the other basecamp near the entrance instead and thankfully that worked without a problem.
It's weird because I was only playing for like two hours and had only been to two separate areas in that time. As opposed to other nights when I played for like 10 hours while skipping all over the place. I do wonder if it was because I had built up like 50+ research tasks completed before dumping them all on the professor at once. That's the only thing I really did differently than usual. Unless flying around Mount Coronet a bunch put a lot of pressure on the Switch and it reached its limit when trying to load the tundra all at once. Xenoblade 2 had a similar thing where it would be prone to crashing if you travelled around to different titans in quick succession.

Those should have higher drop rates but I think regular deposits can drop them too. According to Serebii they only drop Fire and Water Stones in the first three areas, the later ones will give Shiny, Dusk and Ice. Also Ginter might have them if you're lucky.

Pretty sure it's a bug that happens if you bring up the Dex while locked on and stop holding the button before exiting the Dex screen, I think trying to switch targets (ZL + A) will fix it

I feel you, anon.
I hit rank 7 and a half before I went to fight Kleavor.
Once I managed to sack half my team trying to take down the alpha Snorlax and succeeded, gaining a bunch of levels, I realised I could basically do anything around the area that wasn't gated by mounts.

I quit and reloaded my save when I caught a level 22 beautifly cause it leveled my team up a lot and I personally don't like being overleveled at all so I saved every alpha for the appropriate level
