Those are the only cards out of a huge set that a player may care about. The rest of the EX's are almost unplayable. The rest of the trainers are either reprints or useless (or both). 8 cards (11 if you count alternate versions) out of 153 don't make for a good set in my opinion, at least not compared to god-tier sets like Stormfront and Dark Explorers.
Also, if value is your criterion for whether a set is good or not, I don't see why you wouldn't like Plasma Storm. It has a fucking shiny Charizard in it, instant $60+ card right there.
