Ironically enough, in the originals, Misty, Red and Blue all looked about the same age. But in HG/SS, both Blue and Misty look way older than Red. It can be explained for Misty (girls enter puberty earlier) but Blue, who is more or less confirmed to be the same age as Red...

EVERY Pokemon is available before the 4th gym in HG/SS!

Go to the Pokemon Wifi General thread here on /vp/, trade for whatever the fuck you want, breed things until you get what you want, and use those Pokemon.

Makes more sense than bitching about not being able to use what you want.
