Ash being a ten year old for the past 25 years is a running joke even among normalfags. The graph shows that ratings started dropping like a rock after OI because it became clear that the anime would never do anything but rehash the same formula and shill a new Pokémon of the day as a cross-promotion to sell the games. AG further killed interest, since most of the recurring tertiary characters from the OS like Tracey (whom everyone initially hated), Ritchie, and Casey stopped appearing completely, and even Misty and Gary were both written out of the show for a decade. People don't want to get invested in a series if most of the character relationships and plot threads lead to nowhere.
