There’s a scene like that in the orchestra version of the first OP, they use it in AG. Ash is wiping away some tears by himself and then May, Brock, Max & Pikachu show up & he’s happy again.

They also did this in one of the Battle Frontier OPs with May, they show the group and their Pokémon all having fun around the campfire but oddly enough, May is sulking behind a tree.

This is how the show looked from AG-BW and it feels impossible to go back and enjoy it when it looked this bad.

Unless there is going to be another Downgrade in Contests, she and the other contest girls are done deals right now, including Dawn. Tomiyasu uses the Game Material more than the old formulas in AG and DP because how they are easier to interprete and are a lot faster to animate.

It's Ghost/Poison, 780 BST, Magic Bounce, a 100 BP STAB Ghost move that absorbs HP, and Coil, plus stupidly high bulk (the strongest attack Gala got off was a Life Orb Ribombee using Dazzling Gleam, and it didn't do even a third)
