I'd say that would be an easy AG if it has a Deoxys-like movepool.

Now, answer this: what if, say, ice/rock it was any other type with multiple priority weaknesses?
Say rock/dark, or ground/flying. Those are usually considered decent defensive types due to the mons they are on. But those mons happen to have good defensive stats as well.

Suddenly those typings aren't so defensive on a glass cannon.
Imagine if Deoxys-A was ice/rock, it would functionally be the same thing just with different checks. Same if it was any other type.

In short: the more a pokemon is designed as a fast glass cannon, the less the defensive properties of its type affect its role.

You really couldn't. The pokemon and trainer need to be holding an item for it to work. AG requires no items, same with Lucario and its aura.

Why are you lying? You posted Ubers, which is a banlist first and a tier second. It's not meant to be balanced and AG was first created in ORAS.
In OU the highest is 39%, UU 42%, RU 30%, NU 32%, PU 38%. They're all a far reach from VGC's 70%.

That is completely irrelevant to the question of the writing behind his character. DP Ash was the culmination of all of his past experiences while keeping his endearing traits as a goofball present for the majority of the series. The Paul storyline was directly connected to his arc as a character, now that he's as complete in his style and methodology as he ever was the only way to give him a conflict is to get an external one in the form of a rival, instead of an internal one as was the case in OS and AG. In the end, the core of the engagement of a character lies in the conflict said character is faced with and has to overcome to conclude his arc/story.

Yup, pretty natural. It may be more boring, but frankly people were already bored of Ash in DP and only really took interest in him (or Chimchar really) when Paul was on the screen. Paul truly did all the heavy lifting for Ash in DP. He really will never be surpassed.

Instead we have the game thing as above except throw in BW Ash (retard that forgets the basics), SM Ash (memeface spamming hyper excited kid), and JN Ash. Credit where credit it due, the Kukui and Burnet dynamic with Ash was very nice, but by the same token it made Ash seem more childish in a way.

He did plenty of things of his own merits in the series. Whereas Ash in BW felt like a complete step backward from DP, XY Ash felt like natural step forward from DP (albeit jarring coming from BW). He played a mentor like figure in AG and DP but still had Brock as the true big brother. In XY, it was his time to step up but still could be called out from time to time. And for the record AG is my favorite Ash, I just really don't get this allergic reaction some have to Ash being seen in a more positive lead role after all these years, when he still could be prone to bouts of stupidity.

Tiers lower than OU are pointless because they each have their own BLs (banning things from lower tiers defeats the point of usage-based tiering, you shouldn't care about "balancing" lower tiers to try to make the gameplay feel similar to OU). Ubers is also pointless now because they ban things from ubers (ubers is supposed to be the ban list of OU, again, you shouldn't care about "balancing" the "metagame" of ubers to try to make its gameplay feel similar to OU).

Thus OU and AG are the only two legitimate formats on this whole list.

DP is the height of the series I recommend it over any others.
if you are watching for the connected story
then DP, SM, and JN are what you are looking for.
standalone xy and bw.

if you are willing to start all over do it in order but maybe leave out some series
OS: original series can go wrong here
AG: a little slow at times but
DP: really connects the pokemon world
BW: was a reboot that made many fans made
xy: xy's animation was very good but the story is really bad, with bad characters too. its the most disconnected season of the series it feels almost like an AU at times.
SM: sm was really good for what it was, its kinda slow sometimes though
JN: it's okay, it has more filler than most but its still alright most the time
