>>51205366DP's dub is a mixed bag: Brock sounds like total shit as it goes on (to this day, Bill Rogers makes Brock sound at least 40 to 50 years old when he's supposed to be a literal teenager, and his flirting "in love" scenes are just godawful compared to Eric Stuart's in particular, guy is miscast in the part even if he's having fun) and Cathcart's TRio gets increasingly worse and worse also to the point of unbearablity, the VA is far worse than people want to pretend it was if you look back.
Natochenny actually improves her Ash performance 1/4 of the way in for which time she used a very croaky, raspy voice (she wouldn't start getting outright bad again + truly lazy until XY begins), though, and Dawn/Paul sound fine. The script is hit or miss, though, and there's still music changes that while not as much as in AG are more than in OS.
BW's dub is the only time TPCi actually gives a shit about trying with the dub for once: even TRio are tolerable for a little while since Cathcart can't rewrite them and they randomly decided for the 1st season to keep a shit ton of the OST, but it quickly goes back to business as usual by the 2nd season...and by the 3rd, they replace exactly as much OST as 4Kids did in their last season.

XY's dub makes AG's dub look good in re: to literally everything, the music replacements are worse here than they ever were there, the censorship's back, the VAs go back to lazy and some are even worse than in BF-- and then SM/JN are the worst of the entire English dub, we are on track to having a full dub score in Pokemon at the rate things are going which to their credit 4Kids never did here, a summary.
