It's why AG gets left out of discussions, it came too early in the series for the younger generation to get into it. Ironically enough most AG fans are people who started watching in Kanto, us original fans, or people who regained interest in the show after Johto. But we're all 30 year olds now.

The people who were previously in charge obviously have zero interest and it doesn't look like anybody else wants to take over. I can already tell you there isn't enough serious interest and commitment to reinstate the ladder but feel free to try.

I was 1400+, i saw it quite a bit, but not too much. People were literally only playing cats for rank. Remove that and everyone would have dropped it.

All Smogon did was give players the option between dealing with Revive Cats, Electric Shedinja, and etc and not having to deal with it. Game Freak never planned for Revival Blessing to work with Assist or Copy Cat which is why they removed those moves. Same reason they removed Shedinja. It's a broken combination, which is why it doesn't exist in the actual games. Smogon just set up a new tier that didn't have either and 99% of the playerbase of NatDex AG left for NatDex Ubers. It's still a playable format, just not on ladder.

Smogon just created a new tier that was effectively Natdex AG except they banned Shedinja, Revive Cats, Calyrex-S, Miraidon, Zacian, and Mega Fug and players flocked to that tier because it was better than the alternative. Then there were so few players of Natdex AG left that it got taken from ladder, though it's still playable by invite.

No it has a niche in AG because it counters the typical legendary spam threats you retarded nigger. But that doesn’t mean shedinja is on the same level as calyrex-shadow but you’ll take one glance at smogon’s website and autistically screech while knowing jackshit about how metagames work.

Much like the "haunted house" genre of episode, I'm generally not a huge fan of the "we've suddenly been cast in a movie or TV show" episodes. And I'm not particularly in love with this one either, but I do appreciate that OLM felt they could show off what they could do animation-wise by having a two and a half minute long magical girl transformation and battle sequence at the end. I guess I'd rank this one just below the AG movie episode where they had a vignette of Red's asshole Clefairy from the gag manga, but above the Mime Jr./Bonsly one later in AG, and the two XY ones. I cannot for the life of me remember what they did in DP.
