>>54031748I'd probably still say its one of the best. The pacing may seem long but when you watch through it, it doesn't really matter. The last stretch of eps does have some filler in it but it's not overbearing or anything. I'd give DP a 9/10 overall. I can't say its perfect because:
1. Ambipom is released for no reason, and doesn't even come back for the Grand Festival. Just for what they did to Ambipom I can't say DP is perfect. It's easily the worst mistake they made in the series.
2. I don't think Torterra was treated as badly as people say it was, it still did well in its last battles, but I think it should have had one last moment of glory?
There are some other minor nitpicks, like Brock could have been utilized more, Gary should of shown up more instead of just 3 times, there were a few dull fillers from time to time, etc...but as I said they're the same flaws any of the series has, so it's not really worth bringing up. DP has a higher quality of good eps to poor eps than any other saga besides maybe Kanto.
As a whole it also felt like a definitive continuation/conclusion of the anime that started with OS and continued through AG, something all the later series don't quite feel like. The whole show could have ended right here.
