Cathcart is one of the worst things about the English version, in general, across both dubs: sneaky jerk got to stay on for all 25 years when no one else could. Even his Gary sounds worse than it did in the 4Kids and TAJ dubs in the LA Iluno Group dub nowadays, his best role in the franchise.
They probably would’ve censored Dawn’s skirt (then again they might not have as they let May’s boobs go unaltered in AG ironically), Japanese food/text inconsistently as usual (some times keep rice balls, other times muh Americanization), and such.
Oddly 4Kids would’ve kept the wine cups TPCi censored in SM and just recolored the juice, not glasses, based on the AG dub of Season 2 and would’ve kept Meowth drowning and dying in Sun/Moon too since they did in Season 1’s dub.
That really says a lot about how awful the dub has been in recent years, stuff 4Kids would let slide even gets censored in the TPCi Sun/Moon dub. Even 4Kids kept shurikens Black, FFS.
