I agree they aren't poorly executed for the most part (they have their flaws, like any battle), however, I disagree with corelating that to outrage. We literally know the results of a battle are the most important factor. Ash losing vs Alain brang outrage and made people hate it, while Ash winning vs Leon (and the way they executed it) made people love the battle and forget/ignore any issues/criticisms with the battle.
