>>53787116>In all honesty I would have preferred a new series with the Pokémon Chronicles format just to see how Ash's companions and the other secondary characters fulfill their dreams instead of what we got.Now that you mention it, that sounds so much better than whatever they're planning with Liko and Roy. With the show now untethered from Ash, and 25 years of characters at their disposal, they could've taken the logical next step from Journeys allowing us to travel between regions by traveling between regions AND between characters. Give an arc to the companions and rivals from the past. May and Dawn become Top Coordinators, and Serena becomes Kalos Queen, while all their rivals get showcased again with beefed teams; we get to see Paul become a Gym Leader, Max and Bonnie become Trainers, Georgia bury the hatchet with Iris and Burgundy with Cilan; we could see old recurring COTDs get proper sendoffs. And possibly more. Sure, it'd be just more fanservice TV, much like Ash catching all the shillmons in Journeys, but at this point, why not just double down and make more fanservice TV for Pokémon?
