>>51639261>Because none of them were his main rival and only appeared on the league unlike Alain who met Ash before his 8th gym badge. More importantly, nether one of them doomed a region and force Ash to take responsibility for it which involve RELEASING HIS GRENINJA.>Six years has passed and the anime still could not made Alain face consequence for his action. He is the embodiment of 'Favoritism".Ash met Richie and Cameron ahead of their league battles. And I hardly see Alain as Ash's "main rival" when introduced so late in XY and they didn't even interact all that much except for a couple of scenes here and there. Paul and Gary were "main rivals" far more so.
Doomed a region? Forced Ash to take responsibility? What?? That's not at all what happened after the league. You're blaming all that on Alain?? And how is Alain being shown favoritism when his only purpose in PM19 was to get curbstomped by Leon? He was the first one to LOSE in the PWC.
>You mean loving Pokemon? 80% of character in this series share the same interests.Loving Pokemon, wanting to see and travel the world, food, enjoying activities like sand surfing, watching battles, etc... again, similar interests, on top of genuinely liking each other, makes for a very natural and realistic friendship. I'm not saying their friendship is the most original ever, just that I can see why they're friends.
>That's just fanfic idea of friendship, real friends will care about you but won't hesitate to make fun of you. They also has entire life and won't revolve it around you. More important true friends does not show off their 90% of their time the way Ash and Goh does. They do occasionally poke fun at each other and get annoyed with each other, or act competitive. There's more to their relationship than just the supportive/sweet stuff, it just isn't the main focus. Also, they're supposed to be ten-year-olds. They aren't going to be roasting each other in the same way like teenagers or young adults.
