Schizoanalysis Episode 6:
-Worked hard to find the tune that Misty is humming at the start of the episode, I think it /could/ be Route 3/4's theme, listed as "The Road to Cerulean From Mt. Moon" on the Anime OST, but it's tough to parse with such a short snippet. Would love to get a confirmation/alternative theory if anyone else is more familiar with Pokemon music than I am, would be nice to have an exact match.
-Misty says that Ash is "so carefree". The narrator has mentioned this lax attitude in nearly every episode, at first it seemed like a tone setter to me, but perhaps its an aspect that will tie into the core theme. If I were hazard a guess, they're not going to have Ash be in the wrong and turn it into a goal-oriented message after the Gary convo in Episode 11, more likely, Ash will an example of "the right way" and his "stopping to smell the roses" approach to the Pokemon world will be shown as something to celebrate.
-Of all her Pokemon, its nice to see Misty consider Psyduck to be the one she'd want to cuddle with. The two have a unique relationship, but it seems overall that she's softened up on it. Cilan himself said they were a perfect pair, I think there's some tsundere subtext there.
-Of course, Ash needs to have his moment of peace with Pikachu so it can be snatched away from him by Team Rocket, the conflict of the episode.
