He's also one of the biggest Pokemon competitive YouTubers, and on his channel (and every time he's on camera), he's not falsely humble and can even be cheekily cocky (referring to having "The World Champ Difference") while intentionally mispronouncing some Pokemon names to trigger autists. (While being a bit of one himself). Meanwhile, he's extremely popular int he community generally, which results in a lot of negative reactions as well. This isn't helped by recently framing some of his less stellar performances as (rightly or wrongly, you decide) being a result of team leaking and bad luck while also putting some of the people who ripped his team on mild blast (and then apologizing immediately like a corporate cuck).
So, he's a bit like an IRL version of Gary to a lot of the malcontents out there. He's great at the game. People like him (mostly). He's what a lot of 4channers wish they were, only JEWISH. (Which is FINE............)
