The USUM protag beating each trainer with a legendary isn't that impressive seeing Ash has done the same with Tobias and other trainers who trained their legendaries, and it is debatable whether the rainbow rockets actually train their legendary or if they are just captured. In any case, USUM protag utilizes Z rings which allow them to cheese against them easily, and it isn't to say, USUM protag would also use their legendaries against them too so, in a way Ash still destroys the protag because he doesn't rely on legendaries to win.
