>>54787100We nab a Staryu at the beach and immediately evolve it, as mommy Wicke just gives you a free Psychic TM shortly after. Dornenkronen is just too frail and passive until evolution, so we're replacing her for now.
On Malie City, Hau wants a battle with his 5(!) Pokemon team.
He leads with Brionne vs. Kokka, before quickly switching out to Noibat. Nyomozo obliterates the bat with finally having a Normal move.
Raichu comes out and... kills Nyomozo in one hit, dealing way more damage than I would've thought.
It hits me that all 5 Pokemon on my team are weak to Raichu's dual STABs.
I switch in to Estrella, in hopes of it being faster and being able to set up Light Screen. It isn't, but lives the Psychic and gets the job done, but taking over half in the process.
After an agonizingly long amount of thinking, I switch to Pato, only to have Raichu go for Psychic twice, barely failing the KO, and getting Confused by Signal Beam. Hits itself once, taking another one and landing in the red.
Too scared to switch to anything else, Pato falls to Quick Attack. (It now occurs to me that Estrella could've taken another hit with Light Screen)
I send out Urheilu, since Light Screen is still up, should be able to take a hit with that and U-Turn out. It doesn't. Light Screen wasn't up?
Kokka is the only one that can take a hit at this point, so he comes in to KO the satanic surfer.
Next is Flareon. No choice but to go to Neidr, who can barely take two Fire Fangs with Intimidate, and Paralyze Flareon.
Predicting Quick Attack, I switch to Estrella. I use Z-Bubble Beam in hopes of oneshotting, but barely miss it, while Flareon barely gets the attack through, leaving it at 3 HP.
Knowing another Quick attack is coming, I just have to risk it and try to set up Reflect. Paralysis doesn't come, and my newly acquired star is dead. Kokka finishes it off.
Tauros is next.
Kokka should just barely be able to take Horn Attack and Roost to safety.
