>>44553632>Why do you feel like making such claims like saying no sane adult can enjoy an anime for children, yet feel so okay enjoying a manga aimed at those?Because majority of things created for children can be enjoyed by adults to various extents (hence the „for all ages” label). Disney movies or theme parks are some good examples. There are a few however like Teletubbies, Peppa Pig, Dora the Explorer or the Pokemon anime where its safe to assume something went wrong with a person’s development if theyre still watching that crap past a certain age.
>And your bases for that are?I happen to come from a generation of people where everyone watched the Pokemon anime at one point and could form my own opinion on it.
>Whats so bad about the characters that dont have planned endings?Nothing assuming there is no passage of time in the show, actual or implied. Otherwise people start expecting development of the characters (especially the main protagonist) and naturally get frustrated when it doesnt happen or when all previous development gets reset for unexplainable reasons. Or even worse, are told the show quietly dumps it’s current fans every season and there will never be any conclusion.
Bringing up Mario is a massive false equivalency if I ever seen one.
>It was designed to adapt to new audiancesDid you actually read the interview I mentioned? Or Shudo blog entries for that matter? Not gonna lie you sound like you’re in a massive denial over what the Pokemon anime really is.
>Hidaka doesnt work for anime and hasnt for ages nowHe worked on the anime when the interview was made, he certainly knew on what concept the show operates and we have nothing to suggest the philosophy underwent any major changes since.
>Blue and Sapphire, pedosI never denied manga doesnt have fanservice or that pedos dont read them, I only argue that it can be enjoyed by an adult who’s not literally only there for those kind of things.
