>>53300595>No Arbok or Weezing :(Here's another instance of how badly the writers mishandled the great opportunity that JN's premise offered: there should've been an episode where Ash and Goh travel to Hoenn for research, and the TRio follow them there. While the TRio is tracking them, they bump into their old Pokemon, Arbok and Weezing. The majority of the episode would focus on the reunion, and new problem facing the Ekans and Koffing. The TRio helps their released Pokemon protect the Ekans/Koffing against some new threat, and it would essentially be a TRio-centric episode with Ash/Goh just appearing for a few minutes in the beginning/end.
The world tour concept was such a brilliant idea, with a wealth of storytelling possibilities that could appeal to both old and new fans, and yet the writers executed the idea in the blandest and most disappointing possible. I'm still mad thinking about just how amazing JN could've been.
