It's everything that the anime should be, THE BEST RIVAL, fantastic story, good team arc, Ash and Dawn's relationship is really cute, and they are the best couple, great movies(the last good ones), great tournament, TR is really great too, and hunter J is a fantastic original character. The main problems that people have are with the filler eps.
BW is where the reset happened, Dawns returns are the only reason to watch, team plasma was ok I guess.
xy is ok, Serena is overhyped and I did not like what they did with her 2nd design. the Team Flare arc was pretty good but not the Zygard part. Ash Greninja was annoying and the finals are hard to watch.
SM is slow but fun.
JN is big wasted potential, character returns are the best parts, final is good.
skip MPM you aren't missing anything and it's not very good. You get the same ending from the JN ending as the MPM, they are the same thing there is no difference.
