OS has really good original art and a very cool theme(no music) to it. but some of the animations do not hold very well. misty and brock don't really do much
AG is a nice transition from old to something new but is somewhat forgettable. some of the "darker" aspects that the OS series alluded to are retconned. a lot of the original feeling is lost.
DP is the best series in my option with a great story, the best rivel, evil team, characters, and girl. A lot of new world-building is introduced that makes DP feel like it's part of a bigger world. the fillers are something the people have a problem with within this series. DP felt like it should have been the end of the anime, so many people mark it as the end of the original series timeline.
DP is my personal favorite
BW is a soft reboot of the anime and is frustrating to watch but it has its moments
some unfortunate events IRL stopped an entire arc from airing so that also does not help
xy is the most isolated from the other series it does not feel part of the timeline. plot-wise its not super good, but the animation is fine I guess.
the characters are one-dimensional with Ash having no personality.
SM is ok but slow, the art style is hard to adjust too. not many battles a lot of fun laid-back filler.
JN is also ok but has a lot of lost potential and because of that you get mad thinking of all the things they could have easily done but did not.
chloe is slow to move, gohs ok. the character's returns were my favorite
MPM is so far a waste of time but it is not over yet
