>>57809607Yeah, cancer seems to be still a thing (seems like what killed Mallow's mam) and poor eyesight (as much because Japan's got poor eyesight as a nation, thus don't alienate kids with glasses) but as for mental disablement, paralysis or other serious debilitating diseases, never mind the actual evil traits of humanity's worst excesses are not inherent to the pokémon world humans, unlike every real world human has the propensity to be a monster. the easiest way for the evil teams to stop the meddling kids is kill them and have their pokémon disappear the body - cut it up, have a water type shove it in small caves to rot, have a ground type dig to bedrock and bury the cunt. they don't even HINT at this being possible for people to do, the worst is they'll catch a pokémon unfairly, to sell it to a rich cunt who wants a trophy. They'll lie and mislead people due to their own particular brand of corruption or illness (Giovanni - avarice, TRA's - return to status quo, TM/TA - misguided environmentalism, Cyrus - turning everyone into a 'tisitc like him, Ghetsis - dictatorial, Lysander - fascistic, Lusamine - romantic despair, Rose - misguided, TSA's - honouring a promise to their friend, notice the trend away from ulterior to more innocent, if improper motives). Aside form the minor bits and bobs, that are ultimately not life-changing or threatening, it seems to reflect minor illnesses in our real world. Some asthma sufferers as kids get over it (Paul Scholes played pro soccer for 15+ years, had athsma as a child), weak sickly people do get healthier, if transplanted into a different environment with better quality surroundings. It's ultimately not like being born deformed, confined to a wheelchair or other horrific quirk of nature the real world spits out that just isn't shown in the pokémon world.
