Wouldn't it make more sense to keep Ash and have him promote new Pokémon instead of relying on random new characters the audience doesn't connect with? Koraidon and Miraidon are far more marketable and popular than the unappealing turtle they're forcing on viewers. Despite the promotion, Terapagos isn't nearly as popular as Misty's Togepi. Ceruledge also failed to match Greninja or Lucario's popularity despite being in the show from the start.

At this point, Ash mega-evolving his Dragonite, which he caught, would have been more acceptable. The anime seems less focused on promoting new Pokémon and more on pushing new, unlikable anime-original characters.

Can confirm. Actually she said 10 in the JP version of the Caterpie episode. I don't think dub Misty said her age ever and in the Electric Tale of Pikachu manga she is 12 while Ash is still 10.

The only character who I can think of as 11 but is mistaken as 10 is Red. The game manual for RB says he is 11 but a lot of people think 10 because Ash is 10. I remember Ash turning 11 though.

GSC Misty is 13/14.

You could also say she is 39/38 this year depending on game or anime.

No we're just quiet unlike Lilliefags or Marniefags. Lana's a top 5 Pokegirl when it comes to Alola characters, she's even outranked supposedly incredibly popular choices like Mallow, Olivia or especially Wicke. We only really falter to the obnoxious tenacity of Lillie and Acerola's fans, but we're faithful as hell. I've heard that using Rescue Scarf as the final slot makes it doable but yeah perhaps Japs need to cut down on Mistys and focus more on the Baby Gyarados spam angle. Im assuming this one is taking into considering the EX Gyarados as your consistent wincon though since theres more reason for a doubled up Misty rather 2 doubling up on Fishers. Also noticed retreating Suicune early game into Gyarados discarding it, and then fish netting it is a nice full heal combo, not sure how conventional that'll be though.

Not a fan of LucarioEX myself, but I fucking miss MachampEX. Barely got in by the time Mythical Island came around, and it was still a fun, simple raw damage card.
I feel like Fighting in general is fucked by Energy delegations because of the many 4E shit like the Golems, Whiscash and WSS Mamoswine, just off the top of my head.
It's probably the closest to never-ever territory we have besides the non-Misty water ramp that Mantyke just broke, so there's that, but I'm not hopeful.
