thanks i guess, i always just figured this was the anwer. Still doesn't account for things like taunting Misty's lure or her request to join but I think the mistyfags have it read correctly there. He makes fun of her because she can take it. Unlike his OS self he knows not to pick on everything that moves

Seriously, what kind of man even wants a partner who constantly emasculates him? Pokeshippers/Mistyfags aren’t true Ash fans, they don’t want what’s best for him and are basically the bully shipping version of Gary Oak.

Also XY will always be the superior series because everyone in the group is actually NICE to each other and appreciates Ash. OS is overrated, mean-spirited trash! Why the fuck would I want to watch 100+ episodes of everyone cruelly taking barbs at Ash every chance they get?

The battles and League were absolute shit too!

That explains so much. I did notice that dubfags tend to be Mistyfags/Pokeshippers. XYfags/SMfags/JNfags seem much less likely to be dubfags by comparison.

The funny thing is, I don't even think Lilliefags or fans of other girls are that upset over the ending (poor Mayfags though, Misty deserved better than voiceless cameos). I don't even think Mistyfags are that upset about the ending, a few crazies aside. It mostly seems to be Amourshippers who are most upset about the anime ending, which is funny considering her series was two generations ago while the fans of the girls from the subsequent two series are coping just fine.

Yeah this, I would have never dreamed that Misty and Brock would come back again. This just cemented how important they are and if we are lucky enough in the future to get more content they are probably the go to companions. I'm very happy with what we got. Misty even got the best episode of the bunch and some shipteasing too. I have absolutely no complaints because I never thought it'd ever happen to begin with.
Come to think of it, Mistyfags and Latiasfags are basically in the same position in that respect. Yet both kind of ended up getting all the attention in the end.
