Pokeshipping was 4Kids invented fanfiction and never existed in the original, Shudo himself said Misty never loved Ash.

Pokefags will cite the 2nd movie as evidence because Misty is jealous but actually she never was jealous, that was yet again something 4Kids made up. The animation specifically has her looking annoyed and the reason why she’s so annoyed with Melody isn’t because she’s flirting with Ash but because Melody mistook her for Ash’s girlfriend and keeps teasing her about it and she’s understandably mad about this because who would want to be mistaken crushing or going out with a loser like TRAsh? Her entire reputation was on the line here!

4Kids predictably changed the context into one of jealousy rather than just sheer annoyance, in reality Misty has never once gotten jealous over Ash.

Another example of dub shipping faggotry giving EOPs the wrong idea. Misty butts in between Ash and Macey not out of jealousy in the original but because she’s affronted that Macey is admiring Ash and not her and so she feels the need to introduce herself as “the beautiful famous Water Master” which she does.

Serena was the only Pokegirl who ever canonically had a crush on Ash cope, seethe, dilate etc.

Rewatching early Johto now, some of these early eps are quite good. The Hoot Hoot ep, the Spinarak ep, the Brock/Stantler episode. It's a shame Johto started off as good as the previous seasons but winds up going to hell as it goes on.

The idea that male and female leads don't *have* to fall in love was considered revolutionary as late as the release of Frozen. Something else I liked about Disney's Hunchback of Notre Dame movie. Even if they did give the lead character a consolation prize GF in some sequel I think.

Another example I can think of is technically Star Wars. They were teasing a love triangle between Luke, Leia and Han before they revealed Luke and Leia were blood related siblings. That still leaves Luke, the lead, with no girl.

You are really good at picking examples. I remember when those were unusual standouts and I love the hunchback.
I think even if Ash and Misty never dropped a single hint, people would have assumed it was inevitable because even when Frozen came out people called it "risky" to not end the movie with a happily ever after marriage.
I remember Kids Next Door, Jimmy Neutron, Hey Arnold. Back in the day if there was an "obvious" ship it would inevitably be confirmed.

Except Pokemon and Teen titans, which both have the interesting honor of having Ash and Misty, and Raven and Beastboy, all be far more blatantly in love in spinoff content released internatiolly.
I believe Shudo when he says romance wasn't his personal intention, though he wasn't actually the head force of the anime so it's not his call, he seemed forward thinking enough to already be on board with the idea that Male+female friend=/=future lovers

It's true, in the late 90s to late 2000s you basically would have to be a drug junkie to NOT assume male/female leads are future lovers. It was like assuming a fish doesn't breathe water. Am I the only one who's salty that the only frame with the OSXY traditional eye iris proportions is picrelated (the "ore wa monogatari no hiiroin da ze" frame with the OG swirly eyes effect).
During the rest of the screentime, Riko looks like a cheap JN filler character.
PM2023 so far looks so corporate sanitized that you can't tale it seriously, you can literally see that there was no genuine effort in this show, it's alljust a soulless nu ashnime product.
Even in XY, they still kept the face proportions more or less in line with the OSXY Shudo+Sugimori style, the shading and stuff it was all so good.
In PM2023, they realltly cheaped out and went for the low t animation and artstyle.
It's a subtle difference but it ruins all the perception, immersion and enjoyment of PM2023, does anybody else think so too?

protip: Watch the episode raw, actually listen to the dialogue instead of just treating it as simlish, and if you hear a word come up a few times, just google "X meaning in japanese". The dialogue is usually just character and move names so once you understand some common words you're going to be able to parse the vast majority of the dialogue, filling blanks with context clues from visuals and occasional word lookups. You'll understand more and more before you know it. You don't even need to know the grammer rules, you can figure out most lines in pokemon from just the subjects of the sentence and how the character delivers the line, though you'd probably start to recognize the grammer patterns quickly anyway.
Also ideally do all this with an earlier pokemon series so you can get the most out of this one. Maybe one that you havent watched too much so you actually have to try to understand what's being said.

I feel like they just interpreted coal as a fuel source without realizing it's primary goal is just to create heat, which slugma does on his own.
It would make more sense to store the coal somewhere else to use when Slugma is tired or outputting less heat.

Okay so. According to Toa, bluesun was fed up and went kind of rogue. Locked them out of the usual nyaa login.

I don't know why the initial DDL link was taken down, everyone just got kicked out of that discord too. Maybe the server got deleted, not sure.

I'll try to upload it myself, never done this before though

It seems it at first but even in Adventure 01 Digimon were straight up trying to kill the kids by episode 13 or so. Myotismon was trying to kill Kari before she becomes the 08th kid with a digimon due to some prophecy bullshit, her being a target for murder at like the age of 8-10 doesn't seem like a kodomo anime to me. Digimon is special in a sense as it aged in subject matter with the characters too. Adventure 02 when Kari was 14 was when their relationship no longer seemed like innocent sibling love. Her obsession with him was way too deep, even when Davis, T.K, and the other friends were around to support her she still had mini mental episodes involving him. When Tri confirmed they as pretty much adults were sleeping in the same room...well there's no recovery there
