Aside from that instance you mentioned in episode 41, I'd been meaning to rewatch AG to find specific moments that chart Ash's development in dealing with the goals of his companions and his slow maturation, but I never had to time to do it. I always wanted to compare his group dynamics in OS, AG, DP, XYZ, and SM, how he became less selfish and more relaxed and consistently considerate, and any times when he let some of that built-up emotion burst forth. Come to think of it, didn't Ash blow up at May, Brock, and Max after jobbing in Dewford? I think the dub even had him yell "Shut up!" at them lol.
