The primary issue is that OLM took on like two dozen projects during PM’s runtime and didn’t bother sending any resources Team Kato’s way as a result anyways, but I doubt those people even know that OLM has multiple different studios

Honestly I like to see Ash attending an actual grade school on Paldea instead of "fun" school like Alola. Even the Gengar episode on Poketoon had better description of grade schooler than XY, SM and PM series did.

Leon using all three Galar stars is no brainer over unpopular shitmons like Rhyperior and Seismitoad. PM is flopped in many ways, but their baiting is top tier.

Melony should gotten an episode where she put Ash under such a harsh training that cause his PM team to reach Champion level and later Ash battle Gordie to fix strained his relationship with his mom.

Not mention Melony's daughter could have been a decent ship bait since she has her mother's gene. Unfortunately I yet to find proper illustration of her.

Exactly. This is why I think they will just reboot Ash and the series from square one. New timeline, new continuity. They don't have to worry about trying to top PM Ash or come up with a logically follow up to the M8. They would have a clean slate with Ash and can write without having to worry about the baggage of PM and prior series. Digimon gave Tai and co a conclusion and then rebooted with the series. I wouldn't be shocked if Pokemon takes the same route.
