Hell she actually has hung out with Ash more during PM than Leon has with Ash.
I think the only Champion Ash has interacted with less than Leon is only Steven. Alder too maybe but honestly don't remember. Everyone else he's been around with way more and longer and done far more.
Ash's weird ass obsession with Leon is genuinely one of the most forced developments in all of PM. And no amount of "hurr it's because Leon is like a grown-up Ash durr" cope will convince me that it a well built-up or interesting thing.
