They just dont have the budget, the talents, the passion for their work they had back then. Its sad to think about it, but dont have to be, instead we should be happy it happened in the first place.
Animators years from now are going to study this series and stumble upon such a masterpiece of a season sandwiched between the abhorrents BW and SM. They will study and analyze on what went so right, try to recapture the SOVL that was Pokemon XY and Pokemon XY&Z.
